Benefits of Registering

Access to customers - Get quality work

You have access to customers who have the means to build a quality custom home. These clients are usually ready to build, have a realistic budget and generally understand what to expect from the building process. This is a source of steady and preferred work for many of our existing members.

Clients coming through the network will also be familiar with the importance of choosing properly qualified contractors. This gives you a competitive advantage in the local marketplace.

Referral Program - Collect fees for referring clientele.

It is probably quite common for customers to approach you on your job site and ask if you could build their home.

Often you find yourself busy or have already lined up other projects. This means that business is often lost because you cannot service these clients in the timeframe they require. The LIHBN offers you an opportunity to be compensated for referring customers you cannot service.  Meaningful referral fees are available by introducing such clients.

Advisory Program – collect fees for providing construction advisory services.

This program lets you make substantial extra money by providing construction advisory services based on your technical expertise and capability. This is a cooperative effort between the builder and Linwood.

In addition to earning substantial up front fees the program gives you the ability to work with other professionals to close customers. When customers see a professional team that can offer them a more complete and reliable custom home building solution they are more likely to make a buying decision.

Builder Direct Program - Buy at substantial discounts.

The program provides full access to Linwood designs, materials and technical support. Builders buying group rates represent a significant discount on both the design and materials included in the home package. Unlike lumber yards, the builder discount includes the design portion of the home package.

Please note: Working agreements need to be in place between Linwood and a builder before these programs can take effect.

    Free Web Site

You get a comprehensive standard web site that is customized to your business and consistent with the LIHBN format.

Potential customers may already be searching the internet for your web site.  Not having an online presence gives the impression that your company is behind the times. Equally, having a web site that is poorly designed or out of date creates a strong negative impression of your company. A professionally designed web site can significantly raise the profile of your company.

    Access to Project Estimating Software

This proprietary construction estimating software is an intricate and detailed spreadsheet. The program is specifically designed for custom homebuilders. It comes with a pre-formatted task list allowing you to easily create a construction estimate. The software can then generate a custom report for costs and budgets.

It is internet based and you can log on at any time with a designated password. There is a slight learning curve to be able to fully benefit from the program, however, construction quotes can be generated more quickly and accurately.

    Sales & Marketing Portfolio

Linwood provides you with range of professional collateral materials for sales and marketing purposes. It includes high quality plan books, brochures and other literature that helps you project a professional image. The materials not only focus on creating value, but also give reasons why customers should choose to work with you instead of your competitor.

    Educational Materials

The LIHBN has created educational publications to help customers understand what is involved in the construction process.  The information has been compiled as a result of over 40 years of involvement in the custom home building industry. It is far more effective to educate customers up front than having them learn along the way. It provides ground-rules for customer expectations which sets the stage for a smoother working relationship.

Publications include information on how construction works in reality and explains its sequential process in various distinct phases. It helps customers create a realistic budget and gives them tips on establishing control over the duration of the project.  Discussion also revolves around how working with the right builders is crucial to the success of a custom home project from the customer’s perspective.
